PHABRIX PHSXO-ENGT Overview
Enhance the functionality of your PHABRIX TAG Analyzer with this Engineering Software Bundle from PHABRIX. The bundle combines a wide range of software upgrades that are offered with a subsidized price and addressing 3G Formats, Command Scripts with Print Report, SDI Analysis, Enhanced Remote Control, Programmable Moving Zone Plate, Ancillary Data Status, and Dolby Generation + Analysis.
The Phabrix 3G Formats Option is the generator option required to generate 3G signals. This option includes 4:2:2 YUV, 4:4:4 RGB and 4:4:4 YUV at 10-/12-bit and 3G level A and B. Among the support for 3G level B is the ability to analyze signals such as SMPTE 425-B carrying 1 x SMPTE 372M Dual-Link payload.
The PHSXOSD SDI Analysis for PHABRIX from Leader is an add-on module designed to enhance the functionality of any PHABRIX portable test instrument. This option gives users a detailed view of the data words contined within the SDI stream. This capacity allows for the analysis of complex faults and is useful in determining issues with equipment compatiability and debugging. The information provided by this option can be viewed as a continual update. Moreover, analysis is available for the generated and received SDI streams to allow for easier comparison and analysis.
The PHSXOR Option Enhanced Remote Control for PHABRIX from Leader is an add-on feature designed to enhance the functionality of any PHABRIX portable test instrument. This option gives users full remote control of the unit via TCP/IP sockets and allows any aspect of the unit to be modified or queried.
This module can be used to create complex applications for performance testing and measurement functions, such as automated testing of routers or other broadcast equipment.
When used with this module, PHABRIX products act as a server and listen on a port for incoming requests from clients such as a PC. This method allows the PHABRIX to provide data to the control device to which it is connected by use of commands. The PHABRIX device can be set to active or passive mode. Passive mode allows full control from the client, while active mode allows the PHABRIX unit to synchronize with the client.
Leader Moving Zone Plate for PHABRIX Sx is an add-on software option for the PHABRIX Sx line of test equipment. With this option installed, it will be possible to pre-program various zone plate patterns as well tweak controls over a number of parameters which can then be stored to internal memory.
Moving Zone Plate enables the use of “dynamic” patterns to be applied as a way of testing various video processing devices. Particularly useful are its spacial and temporal controls which enable testing up/down converters, image scalers, and applications which compress signals.
Another important function is frequency sweep testing which can be employed to determine the usable bandwidth of a system. Moving Zone Plate supports all formats including 16:9 and 4:3 aspect ratios and will also automatically scale patterns according to the particular format in use.
The Leader Dolby E Generation for PHABRIX SxD, SxA, and SxE provides broadcast engineers with a functional set of tools for Dolby E streaming. With an array of streams to choose from, engineers can quickly enter and adjust parameters to check broadcast infrastructure.
The Dolby option allows the display of metadata present in a selected audio stream and determines whether the Dolby-E packet is timed correctly on the SDI video stream. The streaming option includes adjusting ‘start of frame’ for Dolby E packets.
The generated Dolby E follows the video generator reference source. The program configuration and bit depth with fixed audio signal can also be adjusted. The PCM stream can be carried on any embedded or AES pair.
